Ice fishing is an exciting way to catch fish during winter. The frozen lake and catching fish through a hole in the ice create a magical experience. It's a challenge and a sense of adventure that's hard to replicate. So bundle up, grab your gear, and head onto the ice for a unique fishing experience!

Big Alkali Lake

842 Acres with Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Common Carp, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Saugeye, Walleye, and Yellow Perch. Big Alkali Lake has an excellent channel catfish population, big crappies, walleyes, and northern pike. There is a concrete boat ramp, and snowmobiles & ATVs are allowed on the ice.

Dewey Lake

550 Acres, Bluegill, Common Carp, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Yellow Perch. The east side of this lake is deeper than the west, and you can find the Northern Pike east of the first boat ramp.

Rice Lake

Rice Lake, spanning 47 acres, awaits your skilled cast. With Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch, this 6-foot-deep lake promises an exhilarating challenge. Accessible only on foot from Duck Lake's parking lot, it's a 3/4-mile walk to fishing paradise. Waders, float tubes, or ice fishing—your choice for an unforgettable angling adventure at Rice Lake. Duck Lake

66 Acres, Bluegill, Bullhead, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. This lake has crystal clear water and is full of panfish. Largemouth bass can be found to the East of the boat ramp.

Watts Lake

230 Acres, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. This lake was renovated in 2015, and Biologists did not stock northern pike or muskie in hopes of making it a quality panfish and bass lake. Largemouth bass can be found on the North side.

Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area

2,900 Acres with Bluegill, Bullhead, Channel Catfish, Common Carp, Crappie, Freshwater Drum, Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and White Bass. Fish Cleaning Station

We have a shared fish cleaning station with a large sink, buckets, and ceiling outlets for electric fillet knives. The cleaning station is behind cabin three, and you may use the area to clean your big catch.
